London Marathon 2027

In 2027, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon and running 26.2 miles for Scope 💜

This one means so much more to me than simply running another marathon.

Over the last 18 months, I’ve watched first-hand as my uncle has fought an incredibly difficult battle with cancer. Sadly, we’re now reaching the point where that battle is coming towards its end, and watching someone you love go through something like this changes your perspective on so many things.

It makes you realise how precious life is, how quickly things can change, and just how important it is to help other people when you are in a position to do so.

I can’t change what my uncle and our family are going through, and I can’t fix everything for everyone, but I can choose to do something positive.

That’s why I’ve decided to run the London Marathon for Scope.

Scope works to create a fairer society for disabled people, providing support, information and advice while campaigning to tackle the barriers and inequalities that disabled people continue to face.

While my uncle’s story and Scope’s work are very different, the reason I’m doing this comes from the same place: I simply want to help people where I can.

I’m incredibly fortunate to have amazing people around me, a wonderful family, friends, colleagues and a platform through my business that gives me the opportunity to reach a lot of people. If I can use that to raise money, raise awareness and make even a small difference to somebody else’s life, then I want to do exactly that.

I’ve run a marathon before, so I know what lies ahead. I know there will be months of training, early mornings, long runs, tired legs and probably plenty of moments where I question why on earth I signed myself up for another one! 😂 But this time, when things get tough, I’ll have a very different reason to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

My fundraising target might be £2,300, but I would absolutely love to go far beyond that.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will mean so much to me. And if you aren’t able to donate, simply sharing my page and supporting me along the way would mean just as much.

Life can throw things at people that they never expected and would never have chosen. We can’t always change that, but we can choose how we respond to it, and we can choose to help each other.

So this is me choosing to do something positive.

For my uncle, for everyone I love, and for all the people Scope supports every single day.

26.2 miles. Let’s make every one of them count. 💜🏃🏼‍♀️
