Walking the London Marathon 2027

Yes, walking the marathon. In July of 2024, I started feeling extremely exhausted all the time, constantly falling asleep at work. Suddenly, I was constantly at the doctor's and sent to the hospital due to my deteriorating health. Gradually, I got worse, and in May 2025, I woke up with no feeling in my left leg. Unfortunately, it progressed, and I could no longer feel below my waist. I remember being wheeled out of A&E, being told, 'It's a long-term condition; there's nothing we can do' My father had to practically carry me from the car into the house as I couldn't walk.

During this time, I was bedbound and had no idea where to find support. Fortunately, I came across Scope, a disability charity. I used their support helpline and online communities, and finally I had somebody to speak to regarding what I had been through and how to live with a new disability.

I have since been left with a permanent disability which affects my day-to-day life, especially my mobility. Millions of other people are also trying to survive alongside a body that fights against them.

Being left permanently physically disabled has changed my entire life, but I'm not the only one. That's why, with the help of Scope, I'll be walking the London Marathon 2027 to raise money for Scope and the amazing work they do. Unfortunately, I cannot run, but that's not going to stop me; I want to show other people who are struggling that we can do exceptional things despite our illnesses.

Thank you for your time, and I truly appreciate any donations :)
