I’m fundraising for Scope because this marathon means so much more than crossing a finish line.
When I was offered a charity place for the London Marathon, I couldn’t stop smiling. It came at a time when I really needed something positive to focus on, and it’s given me a goal that I’m incredibly proud to work towards.
Many people don’t know that I have dyspraxia, a neurological condition that affects my coordination, balance and motor skills. Throughout my life I’ve been told things would be harder for me, and I’ve faced challenges that others often take for granted. But I’ve always been determined to prove to myself that I can achieve things I once thought were impossible.
Running a marathon is one of those things.
This journey isn’t just about 26.2 miles. It’s about resilience, confidence and showing that disability should never define what someone is capable of achieving.
I’m fundraising for Scope because they work tirelessly to create a fairer society for disabled people. They provide vital support, campaign for change and help ensure disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Scope continue their incredible work and will motivate me through every mile of training and on marathon day.
Thank you so much for supporting both me and Scope. Together, we can help create a more inclusive future for disabled people.
